The American Physical Society's Leroy Apker Award is given "to recognize outstanding achievements in physics by undergraduate students ... who have demonstrated great potential for future scientific accomplishment." Each year, a handful of finalists are chosen from all PhD granting institutions in the nation. I have the honor of being one of those selected this year. After a day-long interview process, a single recipient will be chosen.
